I have been searching my family tree for several years and have often wondered, when did the first Davidson come to this country and where did they come from, Ireland of Scotland. I have read the first known came to Ipswich Mass in the 1600's but where did they come from..and how many were there.. Has anyone ever done a complete Davidson Clan history... Were they ran out of Scotland during the clearances, or did they sell each other into indentured service just to get here... Im sure some of you have wondered the same thing and would be some grateful if you knew the answers. So, does anyone have the answers? Dick Davidson
