Dear Don, Thank you very much for the information on Robert E. Davidson. He is my ancestor, as I found his headstone this past year in an old Ocala, Florida cemetery. I, also, found information about his activity in the Spanish-American War in an Ocala Newspaper. However, I have never thought about a "purple heart" association.
