I keep a vigilant watch of the DAVIDSON list in hopes of finding some link to my "William Davidson". I have a Wiiliam Davidson born 25 Dec.1725 in Scotland (when or how he got to America is, at this point in time, unknown). He married Sarah Mary Fleming in PA., circa 1760. He died Jan. 1805 in Bucks Co., PA. Among their children : Fleming ,born 1763, Bucks Co., PA. (he married Margaret Lattimore); William, John, James, and Margaret. It is assumed that all the children were in Bucks Co., In biographical sketches I have read , and much, I am sure is hearsey, that seven brothers came from Scotland/Ireland and all fought in the Rev. You all write of three brothers who came to America, you seem to be unanimous with that fact. My ancestor William would have been too old to have foyght in the Rev., he would hve been over 50 yrs. old. Does any of the above have a link to your Davidsons or knowledge of same?? For the person/persons who wrote of a Samuel Davidson , N.C., I have a photo copy of an article where the story of his death/massacre is mentioned, if you are interested , please Email me. askum67@aol.com
