    2. No, Florence, those names don't look familiar to me. Our James Alexander Davidson was born probably about 1835 or so. He was married to Mary Jane "Polly" (or "Molly") Prather in Clay County, Missouri. They had one daughter from that marriage that we know of, and her name was Fannie (Frances Lee) Davidson. Evidentally James died either during the Civil War or about that time, because we have Mary Jane Prather-Davidson remarried to a Mister Moore when Fannie was about fourteen years old. Fannie had at least three half-siblings that were born to this second marriage. I understand, too, that James Alexander Davidson is buried in Clay County, Missour. I do appreciate your taking the time to write and let me know that I've hit another semi-deadend (Someday we're going to find out that ALL of these Davidson's are all one big happy family!).
