I thought some of you on the list might be interested in this litle bit of information, When Samuel Davidson was killed on Jones mountain while looking for his horse , his wife escaped along with a servant (slave). In August 1992 at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, N.C., at the Davidson-Alexander reunion one of the honored guest was John Baxter who is a discendant of of the servant her name was Liza Davidson. she took the Davidson name.Hope someone is interested in this.
