I have info on a branch of descendents of Alexander Davidson of Scotland. His son Alexander had a son named James, who was the father of my gr-gr grandfather, Richard Davidson. Richard was born in Barren County, Ky (I think) and married Tracey Perry in Barren County. They moved to Pike County, MS and had 4 children, Felix, Sarah, Samuel Fry (my gr-grandfather) and Caroline. Tracey died and Richard married Isabella McKay in 1823--no children. They moved to Phillips County, AR around 1850 with Samuel and Caroline, and Felix's son, John G. Davidson (Felix and Sarah stayed in MS). Samuel married Matilda Hart (no children), then in 1889 he married Lillian Higgins (my gr-grandmother). Their children were Agnes, Claude and Ruth (my grandmother). Richard died in 1856 in Phillips County, AR. His son Samuel died in 1898 in Phillips County, AR. I have lots of details on Richard and family, including cemetery info, if anyone is interested. I would also like any information on James and his parents and grandparents if anyone has it.
