    1. [DAVIDSON-L] Robert Emmett Davidson -Tennessee
    2. Dear Davidson list members, I am trying to find information about a Robert Emmett Davidson who died March 14, 1915 at the age of 65 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Today, I was sent information from a very helpful gentlemen that Robert Emmett is listed in the Marsh book "Cemetery Records of Lincoln County, TN" page 549. If he is the Robert Emmett Davidson I am researching, he was born in Georgia and was a Major in the Spanish-American War. Before the war, he lived in Ocala, Florida....I have no information on him after the war. His death notice is in the March 18, 1915, Fayetteville Observer - page 5 and column 4. If this Robert Emmett is the brother of my grandfather (David Davidson), I am hoping I can find information about their parents from the newspaper's death notice. If anyone is researching Fayetteville or Lincoln County, Tennessee -- or if you live in that area -- I would love to hear from you. Does anyone know if there is still a Fayetteville Observer in Lincoln County, TN? Since I do not live near Tennessee -- I would appreciate a suggestion as to how one goes about obtaining the death write-up from an old newspaper in another state? Thanks, Anna Gayle DAVIDSON McClure
