Mary, I will write the information about the Chester Co. Davidsons as I get it organized. First I will start with Alexander. You had a will of Robert Withrow that mentions Alexander Davidson as his Son-in-law. Alexander was first taxed in Chester Co. in 1756. (They were not taxed until age 21 so he was probably born before 1735.) Deed in 1766- Alexander bought 215 acres in West Caln Twp. Chester Co. form his parents John and Margaret Davidson. The land was a Patent from Thomas and Richard Penn to John Davidson in 1749. Alexander was taxed on that land until 1783. He had some debt problems and the land was sold by the sheriff in 1786 and bought by the county commissioners. He was not on the tax rolls after that. He probably moved on but I do not know where. There are probably as many as 25 to 30 subscribers that may be connected to Chester Co. families. Thanks for any help.... Mary B. WILSON, JAMES. West Caln. >May 28, 1771.
