Kimberly, This is my family. There were several discussions on the Herrick and Trask lists so I decided to jump in with a litle more. My line comes through Asa - Sarah Pride Yes, ASA was one of the "planters" the british sent to Nova Scotia after they drove the French out and stole their land. He was issued or won land there. Later He brought much of the family back to Rennesseler County, New York.
