Dear Mary B, Thank you for your email about Josiah Davidson. His great-granddaughter was my mother-in-law. How do I know Efraim was Josiah's father? I wish I were sure. But I do not know that. I have been testing him as a possibility, though, because of his age, his life in VA and his association by being in the same Rutherford County,TN, with a passel of other Davidsons, one of whom was named Efraim. Finally, I was told he was the head of a household which contained Josiah, but that may have been a mistake. So, I really only suspect the possibility. I have one less child than you, but the ones I have are identical to your list. I do not claim to have them all. I will pass along this email to a Josiah descendant to see what he says.
