I am trying to find information about Joseph Davidson. He died in Union District, South Carolina in 1832. He was married to Mary (Polly) Park. His father was John Davidson (abt 1728 - 1801) and mother was Tabitha (Porter?) Davidson. John and Tabitha may have lived in Pennsylvania when Joseph was born, but the family moved to Union District, South Carolina before the Revolution. John and Tabitha had eight children. I have birth dates for five of them -- in the range of 1761 to 1774. I believe Joseph could have been one of the older children -- but anywhere near the above dates could work. I would love to hear from others researching Joseph Davidson married to Mary (Polly) Park. I have been told their children were John, Tabitha, Anne, Joseph, Marget, Martha and William Davidson. I have no information nor dates for their children. Thanks, Anna Gayle **************Get the Moviefone Toolbar. You probably will have to google the above. He lists his date of birth as 1751 in Albemarle Co., VA. There is a footnote that gives wife's name as Elizabeth Gilmore, sister to Matthew Gilmore, and lists her age. Also gives date of George's death as September 4, 1833. He died about 1812-15 and had either a son or brother William that drowned. His wife was Mary Hunter Holloway. She was married to Nathan Holloway first and had a daughter Susannah who was involved in a lawsuit against her Mother and Stepfather George Davidson in 1812. This lawsuit is in the Ky Historical Society archives. George's children all came to Sullivan County, Indiana. He had the oldest son Richard Davidson who was in the War of 1812 and another son George who married Cynthia Portwood in Ky. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Ky. and Indiana Davidsons are a real brick wall! Mary Pielemeier Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
