She was my maternal great grandmother and I only know that she married Peter Colvin. Have been trying to locate her parents. Elizabeth McCracken was my first grade teacher in Claremore, Rogers Co., OK in 1939. My mother said she was her cousin. I know my mother was the gr,gr,gr, grand daughter of Purity Davidson b. 1800 in NC and Dean Rogers b. 1786 in NH. Is there a possible connection?

DAVIDSON DIES Wesley S. Davidson died at the home of his son, J. W. Davidson south of Allen, last Wednesday at the age of 87 years. The funeral services were held at Allen M. P. Church Thursday afternoon, the funeral sermon being preached by a life long friend of the deceased, Rev. J. O. Foreman, of Council Grove, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Allen cemetery, the Masonic lodge of which he was an honored member, assisting with the service both at the church and final resting place. Wesley S. Davidson was born in Lawrence county, Kentucky, December 18, 1828. He moved to Platte county, Mo., when 10 years old. He was married to Sarah M. Burns October 11, 1860, to this union eight children were born, S. A. Davidson, Allen; Mrs. T. J. Proctor and Dr. W. A. Davidson of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. J. H. Orr, of Winchester, Kans.; Mrs. C. T. Sanders and J. W. Davidson, Allen; the two older children being deceased. Besides the widow, children and fourteen grandchildren, the deceased has on brother who resides at Dearborn, Mo. He joined the South Methodist church at 14 years of age. After moving to Allen he changed his membership to the Methodist Protestant Church, in which death found him a faithful member. He died at 5:20 p.m. June 28, 1915, aged 86 years, 6 months and 14 days. Davidson Tuesday announcing the death off his brother, Wesley A.[S] Davidson, at his home near Allen, Kansas, Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock, at the advanced age of 87 years. He was the eldest son of Joseph and Nancy Davidson and was born in Lawrence county, Kentucky, December 13, 1828. Came with his parents to Platte county in 1840. His father pre- empted 320 acres of land, a portion of which is now owned by James R. Garnand just south of this city. The Davidson house, a two story five-room log structure, where seven daughters and four sons grew to womanhood and manhood, stood a few feet from where the present home of Mr. Garnand now stands. Deceased was married to Sarah M. Burns October 11, 1860. Eight children were born to them, six of whom, with the bereaved wife survive. Mr. Davidson was a zealous member of the Methodist church. He had always lived an exemplary life and his influence for good was widely felt in the community in which he lived. Funeral services were conducted at the Davidson home near Allen, Kansas, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. C.M. Davidson is the last of the Davidson family of eleven children. Wesley A.[S] the eldest and C.M. Davidson the youngest of the sons. Deceased was an uncle of Mrs. James Watson, Miss Julia Stagner and A.N. Stagner and J. W. Davidson of this city. He has a great many other relatives and old friends here who mourn his death.
