    2. Was there a Carl or Kathryn Goodwin on that branch of the family, with a daughter named Jeanne Kay Goodwin and possibly an Aunt Virginia or Uncle Frank Copeland? Probably based in Ohio. This would have been 1960's and 1970's, maybe earlier. If you have any information on those people then there is a possibility of a relationship between our families. Thank You, Jeannette Kathryn Davidson

He married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) about 1772. In this union, they had fourteen children. I have found most of the children but not the parents of Robert Davidson or his wife Elizbeth. 2. Elizabeth, My ggrandfather was William Bell DAVIDSON and was born in Scotland about 1854. He immigrated to the US about 1870. Our family story goes that he came over with a cousin/brother ... don't have a name for him, though. He eventually settled in Indian Territory and lived in a small town on the Arkansas River called Tamaha. Do you think he could be related to your family? 1. [DAVIDSON-L] Andrew J. Davidson
    2. I read in a publication some years ago there was a Davidson reunion somewhere in Ohio. It was reported to be a gathering of all the Ohio Davidson's. I have been looking for some link to the birth place of Andrew J. Davidson who moved to Ohio from Virginia. Andrew was born 'In Virginia' in 1825. He married Clarinda Barnes Mix of Fremont County Ohio, near Mount Vernon in 1845. My question, did he come to Ohio alone or was he with his family and if so who were they. If any of the 'Ohio' Davidson's have any information along this line I would sure be glad to get it... Thanks Dick Davidson David6996@aol.com

    3. Kimberly, This is my family. There were several discussions on the Herrick and Trask lists so I decided to jump in with a litle more. My line comes through Asa - Sarah Pride Yes, ASA was one of the "planters" the british sent to Nova Scotia after they drove the French out and stole their land. He was issued or won land there. Later He brought much of the family back to Rennesseler County, New York. I'll be glad to exchange what information I have. -- Loren <kycollja@midusa.net> {:-)> HOKC *))))) TSG, USAF, Retired >From Iola, in the rolling hills of SE Kansas

The marriage probably took place after 1909 and they lived in Hamilton. There was no known issue from this marriage. We, too, have limited information about these two. We have not discovered a William DAVIDSON in our family, but some families may have a double marriage. Have you tried the Canadian Census Indices for the various years covering your period of interest? Unfortunately, the Parliament has not agreed to release much of the 20th Century census data. There is also an Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid at <http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/> that might be helpful to you. Some Canadian genealogical groups (County and Township) and independent researchers are beginning to collect Monument Inscriptions (MIs) from cemeteries in their areas. Some will often sell this data and others will look it up for you without charge. Good luck in your search. If we find anything more about your William or our Walter, we'll let you know.
