I have some Wills and data but cannot connect these to "MY MOSES" b. 1804 in PA - I know he dies in 1880 in Indiana and we have THAT Will...however we are trying to backtrack and get his father's Will... ...if anyone belongs to these families, please contact me to compare data. I'm also looking at Lancaster Co., PA ...Westmoreland Co.,PA... and Washington Co., PA but these listed below are all for Fayette Co., PA Lewis Davidson Will of 1793 mentions children Jeremiah, William, Lewis, Thomas, Hannah, Rachael, Elizabeth and grandchildren Lewis & Comfort. Thomas Davidson Will of 1796 mentions children Sarah, David Mayhett, William, Thomas, Lyde, Phinius, Samuel, Grandson Thomas Miller. Moses Davidson Will of 1822 mentions wife Mary, only son Samuel and 4 daughters Mary, Martha, Elsabeth and Lurquia(?)... Grandchildren Nancy Johnston, Muntisa Johnson, Milfred Johnston, Ousmar Johnston, Carolina Johnston and Morvel Johnston. ...THEN...I have the Wills of Mary and Martha and theirs mostly mention one another and the land. Mary's Will of 1857confirms her father was Moses and her nieces are Nancy Brown, Munliza Brownfieldand Harriet Chapman. Marthas' of 1857 confirms her sister is Martha and mentions a friend John Cook. I am looking specifically for the parents of Elizabeth Davidson who married James McCracken around 1787 in Mecklenburg Co NC.     3. ONly if this James H Davidson at some time lived in Wisconsin. My James Davidson is my great-grandfather's brother -- and they were children of Thomas Davidson and Catherine Walker Davidson. I'll provide dates if you think your James was in Wisconsin. I'm going to that area to do research on Friday, July 6,2001 and will be there until Monday, July 9. I live in the SEattle, Washington USA area and will be in Pepin County, Wisconsin. My Davidsons lived in Vernon, Waukesha County, Wisconsin in the 1850s and moved to Dunn County, Wisconsin about 1863-4 and then to Pepin County, Wisconsin in the late 1860s. (I have exact dates but not in front of me at this momet as I write this email). Thanks for letting me know if you -- or anyone else out there -- is working on this family. I have a lot of information back to my great-great-grandparents but would like to know more about their siblings and where they came from (although there is, of course, a "family legend" I haven't documented it yet).     3. Hi again Chuck, Yes. This information was submited to the Mormon church and the person that submitted it did not check her sources. Unfortunatly half of the information is incorrect.     3. Becky, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. >From another Davidson researcher I was made aware there were two , if not more, William Davidsons. My ancestor William Davidson, father of my ancestor Fleming Davidson, was born 25 Dec. 1725 in Scotland(?). He married Sarah Mary Fleming. Their children were Fleming, born in 1763 in Bucks Co., PA.; William, John, James, and Margaret. Don't have their birth years. The other William Davidson born about the same time period was married to Jane Stuart Fleming. His father was a John Davidson. I do not know the name of my ancestor William Davidson's father. The duplication of surnames gets confusing. My ancestor Fleming married Margaret Lattimore. There is another Davidson, not of my line named Elias Davidson that married a Lattimore. I can not find a Joshua in my Davidson line. There is a Robert L.Davidson , son of Fleming and Margaret Lattimore, that was born 2 Feb. 1795/96, (the date is off for your research), he married Catherine Hilliard about 1818 in PA. I am still trying to find the Seven Davidson brothers that fought in the Revolutionary War. Nothing documented , just mentioned in a biographical sketch. No one seems to be able to connect these Davidson men. Lois
