I am looking for Thomas Davidson, I think he died in 1799. I have a list of his children, do not know the wife's name. he was in lauren's/Newberry Co. SC in the later 1700, his children lived on there. Mary, one if his daughters is my ggg' grandmother. I do know a very little on this family, there was a William Freeman as a grandfather. Mary married Rowland Andrews. any help would be appreciated.

Brenda,, Luther Davidson was the son of Alfred and he was born in 1873 in Clay Co. Ky and died August 25 1963 in Jackson Co. Indiana he married first Martha Hornsby 4-1-1901 in Clay Co. She died abt 1905 in Clay Co. Luther then married Sarah Bowling Sept 14 1905 in Clay Co. Ky She wa born 1887 in Clay Co. Ky and died 1964 in Jackson Co Indiana. They are both buried in the Old Blue River cemetery. Luther and Sarah had 12 children and the last on was named Luther. I have a book that covers this family and the grand parents of Luther back to 1724. If you are interested in the book I sell them for 45.00 Postage paid.. My G G Grandmother was Permelia from Gallipolis, Ohio, who married William Riley Sharp Davidson (civil war veteran)..He died l904 (she in l937)...they lived in Lawrence County, Ohio for 60 years ...and a daughter, Jenetta, was my G Grandmother...they signed consent for her to marry in l890 to Harry Pemberton. I don't know if we have the same Davidson's, but I have some ggggrandparents in McDonough County, Illinois. Samuel Davidson and his wife Catherine Ann are buried in the Bushnell Cemetery in McDonough County. They started out in Pa. and ended up in Illinois. I am a little unsure how they ended up their. I am searching for information on John Davidson b, Abt. 1759 and died Abt.1843 in Pennsylvania.(May have been in Revolutionary War). He had at least one son named Samuel I. Davidson, also born in Union County, Pennsylvania in Sept. 1800. If anyone has information on these two, I would love to know about it. OK according to the Will, my James W Davison is not a child of James Davison Jr. Like I said before I have no proof other then the IGI which can be very full of bad data. I have been doing a lot of research in Lee and Scott counties lately and see there are several James Davison all at the same time as mine, so I need to keep digging. I had not been able to connect James to father or sibs. By 1850 James b 1816TN d 1864and Harriet Lokey b1824 TN d 1872 (dau of James Lokey) were living in Poinsett Co. Arkansas. Children were Mary "Molly" b 1850 TN married John J. Smith, Susan b 1844 TN, Martha b1845 AR, Caroline b 1847 AR. James served as Poinsett Co sheriff 1850 - 1858.
