    1. [DAVIDSON-L] Davidsons from the Isle of Man
    2. I found a census record with a listing of my great grandfather, Phillip L. Davidson (born 1873 in Cuyahoga, Ohio). It lists his father as being born in the Isle of Man, but I don't know anything else about him. Are there any Davidsons in the Isle of Man who might know of an immigrant to the US in the mid 1800's? (Phillip married Emma Prysi in 1910 in Ohio.)

    3. This may be my second posting within the last few days so forgive me - 1880 Federal Census of Allegany county, Maryland lists three different Davidson families. Angus Davidson - age 41 and family, John D. Davidson - age 32 and family and an Elizabeth Davidson - a widow age 64 and her grandson Thomas S. Davidson -age 14. Thomas, John D, and Angus and wife all give Nova Scotia as their place of birth. About twenty years later Thomas and family moved to Pittsburgh, PA. Have no idea what happened to the other two families. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there? Would love to share info. Thanks Fern Davidson

    3. I am a new member to the Davidson message board. About three days ago, I submitted a message regarding my family in Nova Scotia and Maryland. I have failed to see it on the board. Are they not sent back to the person that submits them, along with everyone else, or did I just overlook it? Thanks Fern Davidson

    3. Very possible, but the owner of Buchanans said she made sure the patients were buried and not cremated. 3. Dear A Murray, I also am looking for Sarah Jane Davidson in Randolph Co, Indiana. Her family migrated from NC. She married a Thomas (or James Thomas Cook) from Wayne Co, Indiana, whose family came from SC. They migrated through Clinton Co, Indiana and may have spent some time in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co, IN before ending up in Milford, Iroquois Co, IL in the 1860's and 1870's. Do let me know if you run into them in your travels. 3. Dear Jackie, Please do not overlook the possibility of Callie using another name. When my brother filled out the form for the death of our mother, he used her married name: Mrs. George Walter Fiske, instead of Alice Pryor Fiske. I almost never found the death certificate of my own mother. I thought I would run the info again in case some one who knows might catch it. We have done this: placed an ad in the paper read the paper at the library around an ample amt. of time talked to the owner of Buchanans nursing home (she remembered Caroline but not where she is) checked with the county supervisors we wrote to the Okla Gov. wrote the dept of health checked cemeteries in all surrounding counties enquired about body donations talked with several retired nursing home attendents went to the funeral home and checked records.
