I have the Roark and Robinson names that I am looking for also. Purity Davidson was my ggg grandmother. She was born 1800 in NC and Married Dean Rogers who was born in 1786 in NH. They married in Rutherford Co., TN and had their children there. 1. Zelpha Rogers, 2 Nancy Rogers, 3. John Rogers and 4 Susanna Mariah Rogers who was my gg grandmother who married William Lasiter in Rutherford Co., TN. They later moved to Stone Co., MO. They had 16 children. Number 13 was my great grandmother Sarah Clemantine Lasiter. She married Dr. Alexander Stephens Hawkins who was born in Rossville, Walker Co., GA. They had my grandmother, Ruth Elizabeth Hawkins who was born in Cassville, Barry Co., MO. She married my Grandfather in Claremore, Rogers Co., OK. His name was Wm. Campbell Kates. He was born in Bridgetown, Salem Co., NJ. They had my mother, Mildred Eleanor Kates who married my father William Rupert Kinney who was born in Puxico, Stoddard Co., MO. He was the son of Wm. Greene Kinney, Jr. of Stoddard Co., MO (who was the son of Wm. Greene Kinney Sr and Emma Adeline Black who was the daughter of James Black and Sarah Conway. Wm. David, Maybe we ought to keep in touch now and then. There might be a connection. My great-great granddad was Andrew Jackson Davidson....but not yours. He was born in Alabama about 1825, plus or minus a year or two.. He is buried in Chico, Texas. What is odd here is that HIS brother was Francis Marion Davidson. He is buried in Sentinel, Oklahoma. It seems really odd that our two families had two sons with the same name. Sometimes this happened in related families.....so, let's keep in touch and see if any further turns up. I don't know any further back than my A.J., but I am searching. Thanks for your help and let me know if you find anything that might help me and I will do the same.
