    3. I am interested in your posting. It would seem tha William Henry Davidson was born in Giles County, Tennessee. My great-great granddad, Andrew Jackson Davidson was born around 1825 in Alabama, somewhere and was in Giles County Tennesse in 1860-1870, and possibly earlier. The fact that your family was there indicates to me that there could possibly be a connection. Do you have an Andrew J. Davidson in your tree somewhere? I know nothing for certain about his family, but I think he had at least 2 siblings. One was Francis Marion Davidson and another was a sister. Please keep in touch. Thank you. 2. Dear Don, Thank you very much for the information on Robert E. Davidson. He is my ancestor, as I found his headstone this past year in an old Ocala, Florida cemetery. I, also, found information about his activity in the Spanish-American War in an Ocala Newspaper. However, I have never thought about a "purple heart" association. I appreciate the input and will look in to it. Sincerely, Anna Gayle

Are there any Davidson descendants in that area or anyone on this board that attended. I have been told that they had a large collection of items for sale which related to the General.
