Alternatively a plumber or painter. Birth of Arthur and marriage of James show plumber. 1841 census shows painter. An age of 35 years is given on the 1841 census, as for his wife Jane, who gives her age as 48 on the 1851 census and is listed as a widow. Alexander presumably died between 1841 and 1851, and was probably born in the early in the first decade of 1800. On the 1841 census the letter under birthplace looks like an 'I' for Ireland. The 1851 Index shows there is a James DAVIDSON age 20 years, born St _Matthew Parish Bethnal Green, accompanied by Jane age 48, born _Suffolk, Arthur age 12, Henry age 15, John age 17, Mary Ann age 10, _William age 22, (all born St Matthew BG). Greetings from the Netherlands. I am searching for information on John T. Davidson who married Peter Ann Ivy in Caddo Parish, Louisiana on Jan. 21, 1857. I have tried to locate them thru the 1860 Federal census, but have been unsuccessful. I have no further information such as where or when he was born, or the names of his parents or children.
