OK folks...keep your eyes and ears open because this is a new year and cousins and I agree...we wanna find this guy! He is clearly marked on every document as MOSES DAVISON and without a middle initial and rarely listed with an extra "d" in the surname...we've got documentation and lots of it AFTER him...it's PRIOR to him that we are searching...if you can help there's plenty in this clan that would be mighty grateful! Experimented with naming patterns and can't get anywhere so far but here's the male names...some had middle ones, some didn't... Moses (b. 1804 PA) Son #1: John (b. 1829 PA) Son #2: Samuel Harrison (b. 1832 PA) Son #3: David Allen (b. 1834 PA) Son #4: Milford (b. 1837 PA) Son #5: Joseph William (b. 1842 PA) Son #6: James Leander (b. 1847 IN) Son #7: Charles (b. 1851 IN) Also we have the family SOLID in the 1850 Census of Wells Co., IN and that's the only SOLID thing other than the listings of Moses and all children being born in PA...which is consistant thru out future reports...and with 6 girls being born during the marriage all in PA we are fairly confident the family SHOULD BE IN PA thru out that time period...(we have some guesses off census reports and family stories however so far those have not resulted in a connection)... Anyone with possible links... PLEASE... feel free to email me!! -- --Sandy in Sacramento, CA-- "sandymento" Descendant of Moses DAVISON (1804 PA -1880 IN) and Elizabeth MOSS (1807 PA -1865 IN) 2nd son: Samuel Harrison DAVISON (1832 PA-1908 IN) 1853 m. John Davidson & Mary MORRISON Davidson (John Davidson will 24 Jan 1778 Mecklenburg Co. references wife Mary, sons: James, John, Francis, Samuel and Thomas Davidson and son-in-law Hugh BRYSON) Want information on how these Davidsons are related to other Davidsons living in Mecklenburg Co. in 1770's. Do these Davidsons go back to Cecil Co. MD like most of the other Mecklenburg Co. Davidsons? I have in my files some information on John Davidson and Mary Morrison. They had a daughter named Rachel who is in my line of descent. Rachel was born in Pennsylvania in about 1733 and moved with her parents to Rockbridge County, VA. During the Rev. War, Rachel and her husband lived in what is now Lincoln County, NC. After the Revolution they joined Rachel's brothers William and Samuel Davidson in their move to Bee Tree Creek which is now part of Buncombe County, NC near Ashville. Please lLet me know if you have more on these folks. Thanks, Linda in NM lindajcox3@hotmail.com or lindajcox@msn.com

Executors: Sons, John and Samuel Davison, named Wife: Isabella, children: Elizabeth, Mary, John and Samuel, Granchild: James (no last name). No ages are given in either of the wills.Since both John & Samuel were namedthe executors of his will, they were both of legal age...this places thier birth years at least by 1718 for Samuel and 1715 for John. They could have been older than 21 and 24...Alexander named a grandson James without a last name so this grandson could be one of his daughter's chldren possibly Elizabeth since she was name first...Isabella ws definitely his wife. I have looked for other records on both Alexander and Samuel and have not found any conclusive info. Also di not find Britton Twp or Strasbourg Twp. ... other counties being carved from Lancaster and with some early records destroyed... Hope this helps...but please remember me if you find a link to a Moses later on born around 1804 somewhere in PA. Sandy

He is my ggggg grandfather. No one knows where he came from or who he was married to, nor who his parents were. All we know is that he died in the Summer of 1802, leaving an orphaned son named Benjamin, born 02 Sept. 1792. John's signature is on a petition dated 1801 requesting the state of TN to allow elections and meetings to be conducted in Palmyra, Montgomery Co, TN. His father may have been James, grandfatehr Samuel, great-grandfather Alexander from Scotland around 1700 or so. Any ideas would be helpful. If you have questions about James-Samuel-Alexander, let me know, please. Robby Davidson

I guess he wasn't married to Winnie Davis then. But, was he of the right age to have married her say 20 years later, ie. about 1901 ? Do you have any dates for Winnie? There was no record of any siblings for Harold in 1881. I'm trying hard to find out more about our 'arry but he seems to have disappeared after 1881. Must try 'arder. Regards
