James is my g-g grandfather. I have traced them back to 1830 in Fentress County, Tennessee, I believe that is them, it gets a little confusing before 1850. They don't give names except for the head of the household. And I just figured it was them with the age of the children and such. Check out the 1850 Census in Effingham Co., Mason Township. Of course in Illinois. James 37- b. 1813-Tenn. Ellender(Ellen) 32-b.1818-Tenn. Fredrick E. 14 b. 1836-Tenn. Charles B. 12 b. 1838-Ill. Martha Ann 10- b.1840-Ill. William B. 8- b. 1842-Ill. James H. 5- b. 1845-Ill. Daniel M. 3- b. 1847-Ill. Martha B. 1- b. 1849-Ill. 1860 Nathan- b. 1850? he showed up in the 1860 Lewis 9 b. 1851 Ill. My g grandfather. John A 3 b. 1857- Ill. I kind of gave up, I was worn out working so hard on this stuff. My part of the family ended up in Indian Territory in Okla. I need to go down there to Huges and Red Oak, as I don't live too far from there.

Surnames: Davidson/Butler Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FNR.2ACEB/3219 Message Board Post: I have been forever looking for a birth certificate for my late father: Allen James Davidson. (maybe Reney or Renning) he was French/Indian. He was born (supposidely) in Hartford, Connecticut on March 12, 1930...to Allyn James "Davidson" or Reney/Renning? and to Alice Marie Butler (Bouthillieu). My grandmother Alice was about 15 at the time and my grandfather was 25 or so. My grandmother was from Springfield, Mass. My father did not have a birth certificate when he entered the military. He had to get three people that knew him to say he was born in the USA on that particular date. (as told to me by my mother). I have had someone check to see if any "allen" was born on that date in Hartford and there is no such record. Now I am wondering if he was born at home and was not registered at all? Or maybe was born out of wedlock in Springfield, Mass.??? Can someone please help me.... thank you Linda

    3. Below is a status of what kits are still "out" from FTDNA. As each kit is returned after the DNA sample has been taken, we then establish your registration at the Davidson Web site and provide you with information and a password so that you may enter your Ancestor data. I am happy to set up a registration *prior to the kit being returned*. Just let me know. We recently did so for kit number 63100. 62930 Keith Wickwire Davidson - Kit Mailed on: 05/08/2006 63100 John Elmo Davidson - Kit Mailed on: 05/10/2006 63783 James Campbell Davidson - Kit Mailed on: 05/18/2006 64200 Harry Lee Davidson - Kit Mailed on: 05/24/2006 If you have questions, please let us know. 1. Re: [DAVIDSON] Davidson Pension Files in the NARA
    2. I'm glad that you at least have access to the records. I do volunteer at NARA in Denver. We have films on the removal of the Indians and indexes to soldiers, but don't have anything on the pensions for old Wars. I will try to find the title and microfilm # for that series. Then may you or I can do a better search for a possible book. Because I am interested in this series also. Kathy

    3. Hi Kathy These records are in paper form at NARA in DC. When I need one I have an associate in DC go to NARA and make copies of the records. You can do the same thing through use of the NARA mail orders. I think NARA has made a microfilm copy but it is not in a public access source other than NARA. Alvie L. 2. I have looked through my NARA books and listing of microfilm for the "Old Wars" that the index by White refers to. I can't find a film number the series refers to. This series may not have been microfilmed. I did a google search only to find services to get the records for you. Mind you, that I only looked at the first 2 pages. I'm sorry, I wish I could help you more. Kathy
