They lived in Bowling Green, Ky. My husband or his brother knew about this half sister, I came across a census where her mother and elizabeth were listed. we did know about the wife. Cora Mae Hack. I know Elizabeth was in Indiana, but I cannot find anything else. She had to be a big secret in the family as no one ever mentioned her. Guess I will have to go to Indianapolis and look at the marriage records. If you find anything out let me know.

His death certificate states 8/9/1846. However, he lied to get into the Union army and stated he was born in 1844. I do believe it is 1846. He died in 1931. I would send him a message and see if he has any ideas (and John may be readily aware of which George Davidson in his family married an Elizabeth....there were a lot of George Davidsons in this family).

I have located my ancestors (William R. / Mary M. Davidson / their children) in the Chambers County, Alabama census for 1860 and 1880. In 1860 and 1880, their census place was Bluffton (Chambers County). Bluffton is no longer a town. I cannot find them in any online census for Chambers County in 1870. Do any of you know if the 1870 Alabama census was partially destroyed? William R. Davidson's parents and siblings lived in Georgia. They all lived very near the Alabama and Georgia line. In fact, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Davidson were members of the Presbyterian Church in West Point Georgia. I have, also, searched the 1870 Georgia census -- with no luck. Thanks, Anna Gayle DAVIDSON McClure

Check out homepages.rootsweb.com/~genea/davidson.html and then go to Alabama. You will find them in the 1870 census. [email protected] wrote: I have located my ancestors (William R. / Mary M.
