Can anyone give a thought to this. Isham Davenport b. c 1805. All census records (where he could be found) indicate birth place as Washington County, VA. In the 1870 records, someone crossed off the Washington County, VA and hand wrote in - Arkansas. Guess I've always looked at it as a prank or something, but on census records???.... I feel certain that Arkansas is not correct and I can't find a time span that he could have even visited Arkansas. I do know that there were brothers of his that ended up going to Arkansas and Missouri. Just wondering if anyone has a idea how a 'change' such as this could have been done to the record. Bonnie
