Hi, Everybody! I am trying to find out more about my great great-grandmother, Anna Davenport. Her name was listed on my great-grandfather, George Rollins', death certificate. They were African American, and born in Missouri as slaves. I have narrowed down the probable Rollins slave owners/ancestors to three: James S. Rollins, Robert R. Rollins, or John W. Rollins, all of Boone County. There are also some Davenport slave owners in the area, listed on the 1860 Missouri census. There is also a woman listed as a witness on George Rollins' marriage certificate. Her name is Lucy Maria Warfield Rollins, and she has to be an important relative, somehow. Until I found out about Anna Davenport, I believed she was his mother. Does anyone have any hints about solving this puzzle? Sally Watts Haithman
