My connection with you is DAvenport. We go back to NC.. some dispute over exactly which James Madison Davenport was ours... one was a Tory and another was Patriot. DAR gives James Madison who married Elizabeth Gilliam the patriot. Elizabeth's father was certainly a strong REv. hero. James M. and Eliz. had son, Charles and his daughter, Sarah Caroline Davenport married T. L Scogin....etc.. this is our line. will share better if this connects with yours.
