    3. Hello to all fellow Davenport researchers, I am new to your list and I have enjoyed reading each post that comes in. I also enjoy Jack and all his contributions to this list. I'm here looking for more information on JAMES ALEXANDER DAVENPORT (1838-1898), and brothers JASON and BARRY. I believe the father of these three is a NED DAVENPORT, has anyone heard of him and this family line? OLIVER BENSON DAVENPORT (1886-1961) was son of JAMES, and lived in CALDWELL COUNTY, KY., but I am unsure where the family was before KY. Would love to hear from anyone knowing more about these DAVENPORTS!! Also, I found the following DAVENPORTS listed in the Confederate Parole Records at Vicksburg and I thought you each might what to visit this site. It's very interesting and it has quite a database of names of those released after the battle of Vicksburg in 1863. I hope it's okay to reprint them here.
