My great grandfather was a thomas Davenport, or Thaddeus Davenport as i have found out. He was born in 1871, and died in 1938. He was killed by a train in Liberty SC. He married Osie Collins. I can name all of his children and some of his siblings, but i can't find his parents! I have his funeral book, and in it i found that his parents names were john and lizzie davenport. i don't know if this correct or not, but i can't find anything anywhere! anyone that knows anything please email me! Thanks! His siblings names were: Mattie, Bessie,Mamie, possibly a brother jim but not sure." -------------------- End Original Message -------------------- I may have your Bessie in my line. The only sibs I know are from her Greenville obit, dated June 1934: Mrs. Thomas Crawford, Kershaw Mrs. Newton Kirby, Clinton Miss Mamie Davenport, Spartanburg Bud Davenport, Liberty Could Bud be a nickname for your Thomas/Thaddeus? Perhaps other sibs predeceased my Bessie. My own grandmother was Mattie, daughter of this Bessie. Bessie DAVENPORT Born 16 Nov.1868, Greenville, SC Married John F.Tollison, 8 children: Lona Estelle, Sallie, J. Henry, W. Ira, Mattie Mae, Emma, Kathleen, Ruth. (later married a Mr. Knight) Died 16, June 1934, Anderson, SC Buried in Chedder, Anderson Co., SC I am also looking for Bessie's parents, focusing on name John as well. I found a John and Elizabeth buried in Moonville, Greenville Co.,SC John (21 Dec. 1842-1 Aug. 1926) Elizabeth (8 May 1853 - 17 Nov. 1920) That means she would have been 15 when my Bessie was born. There's a child Mary DAVENPORT buried in Simpsonville, d/o John and Elizabeth. (1873-74) I don't know if these are your people, mine, both, or neither! Jenny
