Debbie: I know of no Davenport-Cole connections among the Pamunkey Davenports. I suspect that your "Ca" was more likely to be Canada than Carolina. The only Pamunkey Davenport who went to Michigan, to my knowledge, was William Davenport, son of Jesse Davenport of Wayne County, Indiana, who if I recall correctly married Jemima Stanley. But I don't believe that he stayed there. The preponderance of the Davenports in Michigan, except for Ambrose in the Upper Peninsula who was a Virginian and there very early, were from New York or Upper Canada.
