Just found a Religious petition signed in Caroline Co, VA, December 5, 1777, Caroline, Favors assessment for support of religion which has Eldron and David Davenport on it. Do you recognized these two men? Does anyone have any other Davenport's that were in Caroline Co, Essex Co, or King & Queen Co, VA in the late 1700's? I am looking for a John Davenport that married Elizabeth Carlton c. 1789 but died before 1797. He had 3 children with one being Nancy Davenport who married John Anderson in Trigg Co, KY in 1816. They became some of the very early settlers of Graves Co, KY.
