To Merry Ann: I tried looking up your Salathil Davenport in some indexes and records, but couldn't find anything on him at all. I did find references to his son-in-law Thomas Kocher, however. Maybe Salathil lived with him at some later date. Also, you might consider renting these census microfilms and read through them yourself see if there were other Davenports in that particular township, maybe by finding other family members you might get a lead to Salathil. Also, check the 1820 census yourself for the spelling of his name, that might be the problem.
