I would like to add that there are also some Davenports who are Descendants of American Presidents (besides the obvious ones). Case in point: My direct descendant, Augustine "Austin" Davenport, married Elizabeth Hoover, a direct descendant of President Herbert Hoover. I would be interested in hearing from anyone else descended from a President.
