Bonnie, Yes I did note your previous message that there was a Presley G. Davenport in the Pike County census of 1840. My records show that my Presley's eldest brother, James, was born in Pike County in 1831. Sibling #2, Lue, was born in Cherokee County in 1833 and sibling #3, Matilda, was born in Henry County in 1839. It is quite possible that they could have been back in Pike County again in 1840. I haven't had a chance to view this census yet, but it will be interesting to note the age ranges of Presley G.'s children when I do. My records show that sibling #4, Jesse Dawson, was born in Henry County in 1844. That would mean that they moved from Henry Co. back to Pike Co. and then back to Henry Co. again. This is certainly possible in view of the way that they had been moving around from 1831 to 1839. I thank you for telling me about the census report. I had not checked any GA census rolls at all.
