Sara: The William Davenport who married Ann Arnold was the son of Martin Davenport, eldest son of Davis Davenport, the patriarch of Pamunkey Davenports. We strongly suspect that Martin's wife was Dorothy Glover, but we don't even have a suspicion of who Davis' wife was--although we identify four sons (Martin, Thomas, Elias, and John) and one daughter (Ann, who married Thomas Graves) as Davis' issue. I descend from Augustine, William and Ann's second son, who moved to Rowan (now Davidson) County, North Carolina, in the mid-1760s. All of these folk are in the lineage on Nevada Jack's web page.
