I am a descendent of Abraham and Mary through Col. Benjamin (son of John D. & Eleanor Harris) who married Elizabeth Smythe, their daughter Margaraet married Ambrose Cramer, their son Benjamin married Kitty Speer, their daughter Marian Blakely Cramer, married John J. Cantwell, whose son John J. Cantwell Jr, is my father. I lived in the Washington DC area for most of my life and moved to St. Mary's County, Maryland in 1988 where I became involved in the county history and discovered that my ancestor, Abraham, was the King's magistrate in the late 1700's. John and Marian Cantwell had 7 children, 4 males and 3 females, 5 of whom are still living.If anyone has information on the Davenports while they were still in Maryland, I would be most interested to hear of it.
