I am trying to locate any connection to the following Davenports. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. Other than this little bit of info I am completely stumped. This is a follow up to a message I posted about 2 weeks ago but with more info. Every avenue is a dead end. Dave Dennis Greensboro, NC Descendants of James Allen Davenport: 1 James Allen Davenport b: October 07, 1852 d: May 13, 1922 .. +Francis McDaniel b: July 28, 1855 d: May 01, 1937 ..... 2 Rosa Davenport d: June 03, 1926 ..... 2 Henry Allen Davenport b: 1894 d: 1913 ..... 2 Hattie Davenport b: February 23, 1885 d: September 22, 1979 ......... +? Hardy ..... 2 John T Davenport b: October 18, 1881 d: December 16, 1948 ......... . +Lillie Bull d: December 18, 1961 .............3 Jim Davenport ..... 2 James Franklin Davenport b: January 18, 1889 d: October 20, 1961 3-17-03, Other Information: 1. James Franklin was never married 2. All of above are buried in the same location in Springwood Cemetery, Greenville, SC and I have photos of the gravestones. 3. I have a copy of the obituary for James Franklin from the Greenville newspaper. 4. James Franklin was a VP at the SC National Bank until he retired. I have talked with a man who was actually hired by him but he could shed no light on his personal life or family except to tell me that he lived at 10 Williams St, Greenville until he died and his sister Hattie lived there with him for many years. I have confirmed this by looking at a number of old city directories. His sister remained there after he died until she died in 1979. That house is still there and occupied by a business and they know nothing about the Davenports. 5. He was a member of the St Paul Methodist Church in Greenville.
