A PAMUNKEY DAVENPORT QUERY: Would the person who queried me several months ago concerning her descent from Richard Walden and Patsy Davenport, daughter of Henry Davenport, Sr., of Cumberland-Buckingham, recontact please. The first family of Henry, Sr., is fairly well blocked out, now missing only the family of Richard Walden and Patsy. The Waldens are interesting because they initially moved from Cumberland to Halifax County with Patsy's siblings from Henry, Sr.'s first family (heretofore largely unknown), then moved to Washington County where they joined in community with half-blood siblings of Henry, Sr.'s second family and cousins from Julius Davenport's second family, Julius having been the brother of Henry, Sr. For those concerned about my whereabouts for the past several months, I've been on a hiatus to shovel snow and such and to attain a familiarity with my new e-mail server.
