Joseph Hancock, hus/o Nancy Dickenson & s/o Benjamin Hancock & Mary Beadles, John Hancock, hus/o Nancy Ann Graves & based upon preponderance of evidence, also s/o Benjamin Hancock & Mary Beadles. Nancy Ann (Graves) Hancock, dau/o Thomas Graves (Jr.) & Isabella Susannah Bartlett & gdau/o Thomas Graves & Ann Davenport & g-gdau of Davis Davenport. Nancy (Dickenson) Hancock, dau/o Nathaniel Dickenson (b ca 1721) & his first wife, Lucy ???. Nathaniel & Lucy (perhaps a DABNEY) had Nancy, John, Noten, Martha "Patsy", Garland, & Dabney Dickenson. Nathaniel Dickenson married the widow, Elizabeth (BROWN) LUCK, who had children: Austin, Sarah, Tarlton B., Larkin, Mary, & Elizabeth LUCK. I don't know the given name for the LUCK husband of Elizabeth BROWN. I don't know who the Samuel Luck is...mentioned below nor other family relationships relationships below. Tarlton B. LUCK is said to have married Crosha Cassity/Cassidy Kennedy, dau/o Charles Kennedy and Crosha Davenport. I'm not sure of Crosha's DAVENPORT ancestry. 16 Mar 1791 Hanover Co., VA Deeds: Joseph HANCOCK, William SPICER of Hanover Co., VA, Sharp SMITH, George ARNOLD of Spotsylvania Co., VA, & William DICKENSON of Caroline Co., VA was conveyed land 16 Mar 1791 by James DAVENPORT of Hanover Co., VA a 1/2 acre lot near ford convenient to the spring at corner of the lands of KENNEDY & DAVENPORT with the provision that Bishop Francis ASBURY, of Methodist Episcopal Church in America, & any of his appointees enjoy the free use & benefit of said premises.
