Valerie, there is a home over in DeKalb county Alabama that was built before the civil war. It was built by a Davenport then about the turn of the century, there was another Davenport home built. You may contact the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce and they will send you information on Dekalb County the information is in the material they sent to me a couple of years ago., I am at work and do not have the information here with me.
