    3. It's a long shot, but....My great uncle John Allen Davenport was born 1905 in Grayson Co., TX. He had at least five siblings, the oldest born around 1890 and most if not all named for kinfolk. But who was the ancestral John Allen? Don't know. My uncle's (and grandfather's) parents, James David Davenport and Nancy Dickens Davenport, were born, respectively, in Georgia and Kentucky, so there are definite loose ends here, but nonetheless probably worth some further checking. Give me an address and I'll mail you photocopied 1920 and '30 census forms.
