By the way, my middle name is "Jo"..........Teri < Right! We could go on forever along that vein. Of course, the French were calling everybody, including men Marie and many women had Joseph at the beginning of their names. I found a line attached to my German von Bongardt (van Bougard) with lots of French names, Marie Joseph, Celestine Joseph, etc. Back in the 17 and 1800s that was common, when they were all "good Catholics". <bg> I still haven't figured out if they were French, because *when they lived there* in Hasnon, Hainoult (now) France it was more than likely Dutch - or I should say the Netherlands. Once I visited the Dutch Forum and was severely reprimanded for using the term Dutch. Then, to make matters worse I committed the unpardonable sin of suggesting that the Dutch language was akin to German, - in fact, more like a German Dialect, all hell broke lose. <sm> Oh yes, my middle name is Antonia - so, my mother was always called Tony.
