    3. Gabriel Davenport b. 1759 died Oct. 15, 1843, buried Oct 19, 1843 age 83 years. Married Abigail Woolverton and they had for children the following: James, William, Abigail, Ana Purdy May 14, 1794, Phoebe 1805, Samuel 1808, Mary 1814, James Archibald born Dec. 1870, died Apr. 1, 1923 married Elizabet ? Dec. 12, 1894 in York Co., New Brunswick, Canada and Joseph Barton born 1796, married Margaret "Peggy" Tompkins in Parish of Kent and had for children: Timothy 1839, Catherine 1841, James 1843, George Albert Mar, 13, 1845, Margaret 1846, John 1848, Frances 1850, Thomas 1851, Mary Ann 1866. Timothy, son of Joseph Barton and Margaret married Margaret Donovan and they had Wilford, Bartholomew, Zibie, Gideon Estabrook, Wallace Howard, Katherine Beatrice. Wallace was my greatgrandfather--married Jane Green from Summerfield, Carleton Co., New Brunswick, had Burtis, Viola Maude and Judson. He then walked out and left Jane with the little ones and came to Maine where he married (divorced first ?) Alma Marshall and they changed the name to Danford as Alma said the Davenport name was Indian and she didn't want that......and they had a daughter and 3 sons, the 3 sons being buried in Westfield, Aroostook Co., Maine. I have more dates and marriages, but don't want to clog the list with alot of things that might not be of interest to anyone else but myself, but if anyone has any information on this family, I sure would like to hear from you. Gerry
