David It depends on what part of AL your family came from as to whether we may be related. There is an elderly man named Dr. Leon Marsh in Arab, AL. He has done research on the Davenports for years and knows as much as anybody. We are related because his mother was the granddaughter of my gggrandfather Willis A. Davenport who was from Greenville, SC. A bunch of the S.C. Davenports moved to AL in the mid-1800's so yours could very well be that same group.
