Here is the website address of a great site for searching land patents from 1820 to 1908. It only includes about half the states at this point, but other research sites for all the states are listed. It's at: http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/search/search.asp Once you find the land patent record, you can print a copy of the actual document right off your screen! Also, don't miss the last entry under States, it says "All States" so you can search all the states listed at once! This is a very valuable resource for genealogists. MargoBelle
