Dear Folks: I'm terribly sorry but I simply haven't been keeping up with all the latest data on the Davenport subject. However, I AM from that lineage and it makes no difference to me if it's a large city, if we're related to people from the North, OR south. Those of us who bear that name are in all probability related in some way. But I do agree, that fine a work as Doc has done; no one is entitled to the exclusive honor of creating this particular discovery of this name. Each have in some way or another, contributed their own part in making this possible for each and every one of us.
