Hello Everyone, I am working with a group of researchers looking at TINSLEY, JACKSON, RUCKER surnames in the 1700s in Essex, Amelia, Orange, Pittsylvania Co. VA and finally on to Lincoln Co. KY. The following references from 1839 in Campbell Co. VA (possibly close to earlier locations in Orange Co. 1730s) came to our attention. Are any of you familiar with these individuals, their locations (which could be other than Campbell Co. given that it is a legacy apparently involved), whether there is a relationship between the Davenports here and the Tinsleys, whether any of these folks had prior relationships with the Jacksons or Ruckers (or Shacklefords or Clements)? Slaughter's children 11 apr 1836 Campbell Co WB 8 p 12 Account of sale of Estate of Charles Slaughter with John Slaughter executor, shows suit dated Dec 1835 of Richard Davenport, Charles S. Davenort, Robert TINSLEY and Eliza Ann Davenport as Plaintiffs against Robert L. Wilburn and wife, William L Lambert nad wife, and Gabriel Cobbs as Defendants. slaves belonging to the late Ann Cobbs, dec'd, were sold and the Hiers or Robert Slaughter dec'd receved payment."
