    3. I believe David M Davenport b 1821 in Burke County, NC was the son of David Davenport born 1795 in Burke Co, NC to Martin and Jane Browning Davenport. David married Dorothy Baker. She was the daughter of David Baker and Dorothy Wiseman. David and Dorothy moved to the Shooting Creek area of Cherokee, now Clay County NC where he d 1887.She died 1885. They had at least 12 children. David M is the 2nd. The Davenports, Bakers and Wisemans all came to NC from Culpeper, Va after 1775. Martin Davenport , b c 1745, was the son of Thomas Davenport , b 1711 to Martin Davenport of Hanover Co, VA. David Baker's mother Dorothy Davenport was a sister to Thomas. William Wiseman married Mary Davenport, daughter of Thomas. Dorothy is their daughter. Can you contact me and share David M's children?
