Dorothy has a marked grave and I have a photo of the tombstone. It's in Bethbara(?) Cemetary in Shooting Creek, Clay county, NC. (Sorry I am still at work and my notes are at home); but I have not been able to locate David's grave. I think it is unmarked.I do have a copy of David's estate documents from the NC archives which I ordered and it lists his children. This is excellent! But I want to make sure I understand this. The line, so far, starts with: Thomas Davenport, b. 1711. He had one son I know of: Martin. Martin Davenport, b. 1745 and m. to Jane Browning. They had one son I know of: David. David Davenport, b. 1795 in Burke Co., NC and d. 1887. He m. Dorothy Baker who d. 1885. Her parents were David Baker and Dorothy Wiseman. The two children I know of are Thomas C. and David M. David M. Davenport, b abt. 1821 in Burke Co., NC. He married Rebecca who was b. bet. 1826-1828. They had one son I'm sure of: William David. William David Davenport, b. 1849 in NC and d. 1938 in GA. He m. Margaret Ramey. Can you fill in the gaps with birth, marriage and death information as well as their children, occupations, etc. Thanks you so much!!!! bj :) -----Original Message----- From: davenport-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:davenport-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of D Davenport Sent: Friday, October 06, 2006 1:45 PM To: davenport@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [DAVENPORT] William David Davenport and Margaret Ramey Dorothy has a marked grave and I have a photo of the tombstone.
