I have two Andrew Doughertys b. 1844 and was hoping some help in deciding whether these are the same or different Andrews. Andrew #1 is married to Harriet Morris around 1865 in Orange Co., IN. They are on the 1870 census of Orange Co., IN with son Harry M. 5 yrs. old. Andrew #2 is married to Harriet Emiline Abel 12 Jan 1870 Orange Co., In. They are on the 1880 census of Orange Co., In with Dora b.1871, Robert b. 1874 abnd Edward b 1878. Are these the same Andrews and the first wife either divorced him or died along with the son? Would appreciate any help you can give. I have Andrew Jackson Dougherty with Harriet Abel and children listed under Gabriel Dougherty and Catherine Strange. I hope I have them in the right place.
