In the Lawrence Co. Ind. census 1840 where I found James T. Smith and his wife Spicy Jane . I also find a William Johnson family wife born between 1800 and 1810 two boys and 3 girls. I beleive this to be the family of Parmelia Dougherty. On the Greenwood county Kansas I find the family of Joel C. Daugherty in the Fall River area where the Childen of my Spicy Jane were. and by 1870 when this census reading was taken there were also the family of the said William Johnson. William and Parmelia named their children as Spicy Jane did and so did Joel In the Johnson family It looks as tho the Daughter Parmelia is there with her younger brothers and sisters. they were not put on as family units. so maybe what is here is Robert W. 41 Mary A. 25 Cynthia E. 13 and an Ely 6 mo. then Joels family Joel C. 58, Maragret 53, Robert 20, Mary 16, and Sarah 14 This was Dougherty On the Johnsons I am not quite clear will hafto do more seperating Mary Lou
