He has said, "Servant, well done. Come home." JEWELL LEE DAUGHERTY (Skeet) of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 12:20 am. Jewell was born March 31, 1932 and raised in Hampton, Arkansas. He is survived by his lovely wife of 51 years, Lillie M. Daugherty, 8 children, 22 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. He retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 32 years of service and received several awards of recognition for his years of service. He served as a Deacon and Financial Officer at Hill Zion Baptist Church and was an avid sports fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and Houston Comets. He loved fishing, along with having all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren come over to have family gatherings. He also had a special friend; a dog named Jacob (Jake). Wake service Friday, July 25, 2003 at 7:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral Service Saturday, Ju! ly 26, 2003 at 11:00am. Both services at Hill Zion Baptist Church, 8317 Curry Road. Officiating, Reverend Abe Goff, Pastor. Interment, Houston Memorial Gardens. The family sincerely thanks Dr. Mania, Dr. Fagheli, Dr. Goldberg, Dr. Hurly, Dr. Walker, Dr. Real, Dr. Peters, Nurses and Staff at St. Luke'S Hospital and Kindred Hospital for their care and treatment of Mr. Daugherty.
